As a tax accountant I’m always looking for the most value from my hard-earned dollars and cents. That’s what makes me the premier accounting firm in metro Atlanta. As my family and I create our “new normal” during this time, we are learning how to be safe and still get out of the house. Kids need to get out and adults do too! I’ve been looking into nature staycations. Nature staycations offer new experiences to refresh your mind and allow social distancing.
Finding a single location with two different activities gives your family a variety of experiences in one vacation – that’s economical!
As we come into the 4th quarter and consider the cooler days of the fall season, there are places to visit here at home in Georgia like the North Georgia Mountains and our beautiful natural waterfalls. They are beautiful, educational, and just plain fun. I’m considering Anna Ruby Falls and Amicalola Falls, which is the highest waterfall in Georgia at a staggering 729 feet tall. It’s one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Georgia! Water is a natural resource and can be soothing to stressed, racked nerves. It’s the perfect way to relax, get exercise and get to know “home” better! Your vacations can positively impact your end of year taxes also. Consider lodging and food expenses and other “ordinary and reasonable” business travel expense deductions. Call me and we’ll talk more about it.
There are other places to visit to “cure your cabin fever” and still be safe. And these are great for the kids!
